Another one of our grass-finished steers also went to the butcher in January. Despite the name of our farm, the steers never eat grain. We do not spray any of our land. They eat hay that we have raised ourselves.
The steer is $7.95 per pound, sold by the hanging weight and including processing. Each split half (quarter) weighed 142 pounds. A split half will cost $1128.90 and also includes organs. This price includes processing and they are cut into standard cuts. For a half, order two split halves. For a whole, order four split halves.
The meat is vacuum sealed in plastic. We include the cost of processing in our price, so you will not be charged by the butcher. We will pay the butcher directly. We can deliver to most areas of the Colorado Springs and metro Denver if you can be flexible on the date and time of delivery.
